END OF DAY

Pick a stock

Three parts fill in from price data. The other four are yours to tick after you have read the company's figures.

How it works. In plain words.

William O'Neil's CAN SLIM is a seven-part checklist. Three parts can be read from prices, so this page fills them in. Four need company figures that are not in our price files, so they are tick boxes for you, each with a short note on what to look at.

N is ticked when the price is within 15% of its 52-week high. L is ticked when the Daksh relative-strength rank is 80 or more. M is ticked when the Nifty 50 closed above both its 50-day and 200-day averages.

The total is a plain count of ticked parts out of 7. A higher count only means more boxes are ticked. It does not say what the stock will do. Your ticks stay in this browser.

For the curious

N: close >= 0.85 x 52-week high (252 sessions of daily highs). L: Daksh rank >= 80 (not the IBD rank). M: Nifty 50 close > its 50-day and 200-day simple averages.

Important information
  • Education only. Not investment advice. Daksh Analytics is not SEBI-registered.
  • Prices come from the exchange's daily files for the Nifty 500, worked out by Daksh Analytics after the close. They can contain errors and are not adjusted by the exchange for splits or bonus issues. When a stock's price falls overnight by an exact split or bonus ratio (for example to a half or a fifth) on a day the Nifty barely moved, earlier prices are scaled by that ratio. A one-day fall to about half or less, or a rise of 80% or more, that no split or bonus explains is marked and left out.
  • The earnings and ownership parts are your own ticks. We do not check them.
  • Past results do not predict future results.
